These Everything Bagels From Scratch are so perfectly chewy and delicious and are actually easier than you think to make at home!


Active Yeast | Bread Flour | Water Barley Malt Syrup | Olive Oil

Activate Yeast Activate the yeast by adding warm water to a stand mixer and sprinkling yeast on top. Let it activate until it is frothy, then add malt barley syrup, flour and salt.

Make Dough Mix on low for about 2-3 minutes, then knead for 5 minutes. Lightly oil a bowl, add the dough, then cover with plastic wrap and leave it to double in size.

Shape Bagels Punch down the dough and separate into 8 even balls. Then poke a hole in the center and shape the dough balls into a bagel shape. 

Water Bath Bring water and malt barley syrup to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook the bagels for a minute on each side.

Bake Bagels Then brush with egg wash and dip in the everything bagel seasoning mix. Bake in the oven until lightly browned.

Perfectly chewy and delicious!
