Homemade  corn nuts


These Healthier Homemade Corn Nuts have all the salty flavor and crunch but are baked in the oven instead of deep-fried making them everything you want in a corn nut, but just a little bit better for you.


Dried Hominy | Peanut Oil | Salt Garlic Powder | Paprika  Onion Powder

Cover hominy with 1-2 inches of water. Soak for 6-10 hrs. Drain and pat with paper towels.  Set out to dry for about an hour. Or set in the sun for faster drying.

Pre-heat oven to either 375° convection or 400° regular. Mix your salt & spices. Add oil to hominy, stir well. Add seasoning a little at a time. Mix each addition, until well coated.

Bake for 20 min. Gently stir.  Return to oven and bake for another 20-25 min. Make sure to check the last 5 minutes for burning. Remove & let cool for 15 minutes.

Fulfill that corn nut craving but in just a tad healthier way!
