Thinking about making your own cheese? This is a great one to start with! It only takes a few ingredients and a little time to make your very own homemade Cream Cheese From Scratch!


Whole Milk Half & Half | Heavy Cream Lemon Juice | Salt

Heat Add milk, cream, and salt to a pot and slowly heat to about 165°-170° F.

Add Lemon Juice Stir in lemon juice, continue to heat for a couple of minutes. Soft curds will start to form. Remove from heat and let it sit for 2 minutes. Then line a large sieve or colander with a large cheesecloth.

Drain Scoop curds into the cheese cloth. Gather ends of the cheese cloth and let drain for at least an hour and up to four.

Gently turn cheese into a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let cool for at least 2-4 hours, this will help it thicken.
