Mom's Classic

My Mom's Classic Coffee Cake is a tried and true recipe and is exactly what you'd expect. It's fluffy, soft, sweet, moist, and topped with a  sweet cinnamon streusel.  Simple, easy, and so delicious.


Butter | Sugar | Flour  Baking Powder | Eggs | Milk Vanilla | Brown Sugar  Cinnamon | Nutmeg

 Cream butter and sugar. Start on low and then continue to cream on medium speed for 2-3 min until it is pale yellow and creamy.

Sift flour with baking powder into the creamed butter & sugar. Use your hands to work into crumbs. Set aside some crumble mixture for the streusel.

Add eggs, milk & vanilla, mix into a thick batter. Grease your baking pan, and add batter in an even layer. Add melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the bowl with the crumble and mix.

Sprinkle the streusel  on top. Bake for 30-50 min, depending on the pan size.
