Strawberry Jam Heat strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until the sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil. Gently mash the strawberries and stir often as it cooks and thickens.
Make Dough Cream butter and sugar, then whisk in egg yolk and vanilla. Mix in flour and salt, cover and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Coat with Almonds Whisk egg whites, then roll out the dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the egg white. Next, coat with almonds and bake for 5 minutes.
Thumbprints Quickly use your thumbs to press heart shapes into each cookie, then return to the oven for 8 minutes.
Fill With Jam Allow to cool for a few minutes, then fill the heart indents with the strawberry jam. Enjoy!
