Notes
To Freeze: If planning to freeze, remove from heat before adding the heavy cream, let cool completely and then freeze. When ready to use, then add the heavy cream. This will ensure that it cream doesn't separate when it's frozen, which can cause a grainy texture. Make it Vegetarian: Sub bacon grease for a tablespoon of butter and use a vegetable stock. Optional: add a drop or two of liquid smoke to get a little smoky flavor without the bacon!
