  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted optional

Notes

Substitutions
Olive Oil: This is when you break out the good stuff. Or, you can use sesame oil instead to add even more sesame flavor!
Garlic Powder:  You can use fresh garlic minced (1 - 2 teaspoons) in place of garlic powder, but just be sure to ensure that it does not burn, which it can do quickly.
Seasoned Rice Wine Vinegar: The acidity and sweetness adds to this side. You can also use Mirin.
Prep in Advance
Trim the peas in advance for an even quicker side dish!
