Make Maple Sauce Heat maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, sugar, ginger & nutmeg until all of the butter has melted and the sugar dissolved.
Core the Apples Use either a pairing knife and a spoon or an apple corer to core apples, but be sure to not cut through the bottom. Place apples in a baking dish.
Put it Together Once your apples are cored, now you can fill them with the walnuts (give them a gentle chop) and then pour in your maple syrup sauce.
Bake Pop 'em in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes and you'll have a tender (but not mushy), sweet maple, and walnut-easy healthy dessert!
