How many balls did you yield please? They are high in calories so just wanted to know in case I made mine too small
Can these be frozen?
Absolutely!
Honey is NOT vegan. Don’t call these Vegan If you put honey in them or tell people they can. Thanks.
Hi Johanna, in case you missed it, the ingredient in the picture and listed first in the recipe is Agave. Honey is listed as another option, but to avoid any possible confusion, I’ve updated it with that note. Thanks for letting me know! Have a great day!
I found this recipe to be extremely sticky, so much so that my food processor could barely blend the mixture without it balling up. Did you process the cashews before adding the dates? Or any other suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Hope! Yes, the dough should be very very tacky and will ball up a little. You want that stickiness when you roll them into balls - that's what makes the coconut stick!
Hi, how many bliss balls does the recipe yield?
Hadn't eaten energy balls for yeaaaaars. Had all the necessary ingredients by chance so gave it a try and LOVED IT. Will do again ASAP.
First time trying energy balls with cashew nuts (hard to come by where I live, SO expensive), but totally worth it.
YAY!! Sooo glad you enjoyed it and I agree about the cashews! I've tried it with other nuts but nothing compares. Thank you so much for letting me know you loved them!
I love these! Instead of syrup I added 1 tbs of vanilla Nutpods. And for a bit of fat and protein I also added 1 Tbs of almond butter.
What a great idea, Barb!!
I love making bite-sized snacks for my family and I can't wait to try this. This looks really delicious. I'm sure my family will love this too. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
Enjoy, Aika!! Let me know what your family thinks of them!
Now I am hungry! So great for grab and go snacks! Looks soo gooood!
These sound super duper easy to make! That is my kind of snack recipe!
Thank you for the recipe, it’s quick, easy, delicious and no nasties, great for lunch boxes! Have a lovely day
I love coconut and with these cashews in this I am sure this would be even more delicous as a treat. My kids will love these!
I love these no-bake, no-cook bliss/ energy balls. I've tried it with roasted nuts but never with just cashews. I am sure they must have tasted amazing.
Hi!
I love the sound of these! I make my own cashew milk at home and I was wondering whether these might work with the cashew pulp rather than the whole cashew in the mix? What do you think? I hate wasting food!!
Xx
Hi Rosie! Ooooh what a GREAT question!! Hmmm... having never made my own cashew milk, I'm not familiar with how thick the pulp is. It's questionable since the cashews are really the main base of the ball, aside from the dates. I'd first try a 1/4 pulp to whole cashew ratio first and see how that works. I'm really intrigued though so please let me know how it works out! 😀
I love coconut and dates, these little balls sound wonderful, what a great healthy snack option!
Thanks, Joy! 🙂
I love making homemade snack balls and make something very similar at home. So tasty!
Thanks, Jemma!
These would definitely satisfy my sweet tooth in a completely non-guilty way. I love anything with dates in it!
These look so good I would have a hard time eating only a couple. I love cashews so these are right up my alley!!
YUM! These look so decadent, but are healthy! Awesome.
Healthy & delicious! These look absolutely amazing.
Yes! I love this recipe. Bites are my favorite and I need to make some- it's been too long. I also have trouble finding unsweetned coconut where we live so I usually order it online.
I love recipes that only have 2 steps! And these look so good and healthy. Although maybe not that healthy if I eat a dozen in one sitting lol. Awesome recipe!
These would be perfect for my post workout snack! And so easy to make as well!
Yumm!! These bliss balls are so mouth-watering, bookmarking this recipe!!
Simple and delicious, just my kind of recipe! Would love to make up a batch (or three) to see us through the working week! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I like that they are naturally a sweet treat.
These look great and so easy to make!
These look so good and I love the fact that they are so easy n quick to prepare. I think I'll have to hide them from myself after making as they would just disappear that fast 😉
These little balls look perfect for a quick pick-me-up or even dessert! Lovely...
I'm going to try to make these for my Mom! She is gluten lactose intolerant. I have been having trouble finding unsweetened coconut. I looked again last week. Do you thin sweetened coconut would be ok, or will it be too sweet?
Hey Beth! That's great! Sweetened coconut shouldn't be too sweet, although if she likes things a little less sweet maybe try using coconut oil instead of agave to cut down the sweetness there. Also, if you're an Amazon Prime user, Bob's Red Mill is a great option - http://www.amazon.com/Bobs-Red-Mill-Shredded-Unsweetened/dp/B002YR7A9Q . I go to Amazon for all the things I can't find locally in stores 🙂 I hope your mom enjoys them!
