Banana Soft Serve with Strawberry Compote
Our Banana Soft Serve with Strawberry Compote is the perfect easy, healthy, sweet treat. It’ll satisfy the ice cream craving but in a delicious and nutritious way!
You’ll also love our Peanut Butter Banana Soft Serve!

I am so in love with this. I cannot believe A. how easy it is and B. how delicious and healthy it is. My Banana Soft Serve with Strawberry Compote is a super healthy soft-serve ice cream option! Ice cream? More like Nice Cream!
Ingredients Needed

- Frozen Bananas – We keep a stash in our freezer at all times because there are always bananas in our house, which inevitably means we always have brown bananas that can be frozen for this soft serve!
- Milk – We use 2% milk, but you can use whatever you have! A milk alternative with vanilla is also delicious! We’ve even added a little flavored creamer to some of the milk, too.
- Strawberry Compote – We love the combination of strawberry and banana together, and our homemade compote is the perfect addition on top. You could also use any of your other favorite ice cream toppings!
Frozen Bananas
If you often find yourself with a ton of brown bananas and don’t always want to make banana bread, banana waffles, or banana muffins right away, the best thing to do is to freeze them! For the best store, slice and then flash freeze before storing long term. This will help to keep all of the slices separate and from freezing into one big chunk.
Ready FAST

It doesn’t get much easier than adding the bananas and milk to the Vitamix, blender, or food processor and blending until creamy!

Soft Serve Banana Ice Cream, ready in minutes and so creamy and dreamy.

Made even better with a little scoop of our fresh Strawberry Compote!

It’s cooling. It’s creamy. It hits those ice cream cravings in a nice, healthy banana, strawberry way!

Hi Leah, wow, thank you!! I look forward to seeing it on your site!
This looks divine Tracy! The strawberry sauce makes me want to sing!
What a compliment!! Thank you! 😀
I will have to try this. We freeze our bananas when they get overripe for future baking projects, this sounds great too. My boys would go bananas for this, couldn’t resist the pun!
hahahaha! I’m sure your little monkeys will love it!!! 😉
Yum!
Oh I love it! Such a nice dessert, easy and delicious! That’s a keeper:)
Thank you! 🙂
I am SOOOOO happy that you made this, I seriously thought of your when I was making it because I knew you always had bananas on hand! I LOVEEEEE that you made strawberry sauce- the banana and strawberry combo is my FAVORITE. I wanted to freeze strawberries and use the same procedure with them in the food processor and do a parfait, but I was too lazy to go get strawberries (and guess what, after that, I realized after that I already had some in the freezer to snack on , OOPS!) Oh well, the chocolate topping was delish too. I’m glad you tried the milk and it worked out because that was another thing I didn’t have but wanted to try (needless to say I need to go grocery shopping). Anywayyyy thanks for the shout outs too you’re the best, LOVE that this reunion started over poutine, it was meant to be! 😉
Hahahah I love you! I only added the milk because my bananas didn’t cream alone and I was like “how the heck did Stephanie get it so creamy?!” So I just cheated and added the milk 😉 Omg strawberries is a GREAT idea!! I can’t wait to try that!!! xoxox
I let mine defrost SLIGHTLY – maybe that’s why?! Well between us we’ve got it covered, YEAAHH!
That’s a winner!
My husband thought so too! 😉
I love this!!! Will have to try it! Thank yoi for sharing!
